I found the character very relatable, but the book was overall depressing. The Congregation has lived drough for years and still lives as if it iswaiting for Otto while Darwin manages to live on as a member of the outside community, recruiting Overseers to serve as guards from convicts and the desperate unemployed.

Mixed with water, drops of her blood can heal any wound and save lives. Ruby, the protagonist, is decent enough I suppose.

Drought by Pam Bachorz: Review

Ruby is unique only because it’s taken her years to reach the maturity level of a year-old. It was definitely an intense book but very well written.

Ruby longs to be free, but when a forbidden romance between Ruby and an Overseer blossoms, the need for psm becomes even more intense.

But she has lived for years, yes her body is that of a 16 year old but there is no way that her mind would be. Little does he know that the water is only special because Ruby’s and Otto’s blood is special. Want to Read Currently Reading Read.
